These are the forum guidelines we want to live by:
1) The forum guidelines are quite simple, Team Goon / Big Wheel will not put up with slander, egregious defamation of character, direct physical threats to users, their friends or family, spam, libelous statements, abusive or overtly offensive material. This will include even "cleverly" worded posts whose sole purpose is to create that gray area that if they get called on it later for violating the terms of the forum they try to claim they meant something else, too bad. If an admin even thinks that your "cleaver gray area" post falls into the area of, slander, egregious defamation of character, direct physical threats to users, their friends or family, spam, libelous statements, abusive or overtly offensive material, it will be removed with no notice at all. Posters whose sole purpose is to derail threads, cause trouble, or use multiple user names for nefarious purposes are outta here -you know who you dicks are.
2) We believe in the freedom of speech here, but with such freedoms come responsibility. Those that cannot behave in an reasonable, acceptable manner will be removed from the forum. With that said, our procedure is one strike and you're out, or if you are lucky, on time out. Please handle yourselves accordingly. There is a line were it turns into a civil matter of defamation and just out right destructive. Being a straight up kook does not add anything to this forum and you will be removed from the forum. Going off on some sort of diatribe about whatever will probably just get your post removed, so save if for forum that is into that kind of stuff.
3) Team Goon / Big Wheel admins will not hesitate to ban new members who A) Present a hostile agenda by their actions B) Appear to have joined the forum to attack current members C) Appear to be allowing banned former members access to the forum via their user-name.
4) The judgment of forum admins is final -in rare cases if you break the guidelines you may luck out and be warned and may or may not be given the opportunity to correct the post or posts in question, but don't count on it.
5) Challenging or harassing the admins, or harassing members and derailing their threads is considered troll-like behavior and will be dealt with harshly.
6) If for some reason you want to post information on a show that is already listed on the main Show & Event Calender on this site, the post will be removed since it already appears on the site. Duplicate information is not wanted no mater what form it is in.
7) This is our house and you're welcome to visit and enjoy yourself, after all we do want this to be a positive and fun place for you to hang out. After much input from you we decided to provide a place for everyone to come together for the greater good of the scene. As with most forums out there, kooks are everywhere and there are people out there that get seriously bummed out when they see others having a good time, thus all the guidelines. However, if you cannot follow the guidelines and behave in a reasonable manner you will be removed.
Bottom line: Act stupid and you are gone. We really don't care. We are here to have a good time and hang out with people who want to have fun. If you even suspect that you may be an a**hole, this will not be the place for you, so don't waste your time here.
8) Consider this forum and site one of the few that relies on the content of the site as the reason people come to it, not the drama. Inviting or wanted drama associated with this site would be a very un-original idea.
9) If the guidelines here seem like to much to deal with, the best answer and solution to that, is that it may be a good excuse to go start your very own forum with whatever guidelines suit your individual needs.
