This is where you will find small tid bits of information you need to know about.
Published here as often as hourly, daily and when we receive the tip.

These reports can be anything from being at a show and seeing something funny happen, maybe a backyard party that got out of hand or was super fun, a car crash, cops hassling someone or even someone hassling the cops, just saw a movie that was lame or funny, being at a record store and seeing something cool, getting a bad pizza, seeing someone get thrown out of a store .hopefully you get the idea, just anything. The incident reports can be both funny and informative. If you have a photo of the incident, put the link to the photo in here.

Starting a punk house

My friend just turned 18 and got kicked out of his house. Right now he's living with me, but he's looking around for an abandoned building to fix up and live in and throw shows and parties. Any tips/stories? Anybody ever live in a punk house?

LCB, Insurgance, The Scarred, Media Blitz, Joe's Garage at Shiver

This was the first show at Shiver, and it went off really well. Joe's Garage started the night with a great set, lots of energy, and a couple of sound problems, which got ironed out pretty quickly.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see much of the rest of the bands, because I was working the door, and they decided to move us out to the front gate, instead of near the bands.

The show, from my standpoint was a success. I made a point of talking to alot of unfamiliar faces, to get some feedback on the space, and the vibe of the show. All I got was positive remarks.

There were a couple of small issues with people not being respectful, but for the most part- we had about 300 kids there, having a blast.

I am super thankful to my goonies that helped out. Leo, Jefficator, and Ryan in particular went above and beyond what I asked them, in order to make this a positive experience for the building's management, and the kids at the show. Wade, from the Bonzo's did a great job at the sound, especially considering he was working with equipment that he had just recently acquired. Ditch was super supportive, and a great presence when dealing with the affronted Kiwi - and other potential mischief makers.

Tonight is part two of our proving ourselves to the Shiver guys - I hope it goes as well. If you can make it out - do!!!

Bad Reaction in car accident

Bad Reaction was in a pretty bad car accident on the way to their show in Oxnard tonight. The car blew a tire and flipped 3 times.
Ben & Jesse needed to go to the hospital. Kash & Nik escaped with just cuts and bruises. The car is fucked, but the good news is everyone is pretty much OK. They were even able to make it up to The Lab and play a shortened set to close out the show.

Hour of The Wolf

In a recent symposium on internet forums in general it was cited that the people that post some of the most verbose have alot in common with 1968 film Hour of the Wolf. Here was a link they had to info about the film http://www.altfg.com/blog/film-reviews/hour-of-the-wolf-ingmar-bergman

An excerpt was noted by the symposium that was very interesting:
There are scenes set in the hour of the wolf, between 3 and 4 AM, the time when, according to the film, It is the hour when most people die, when sleep is deepest, when nightmares are more real. It is the hour when the sleepless are haunted by their deepest fear, when ghosts and demons are most powerful. The Hour of the Wolf is also the hour when most children are born. Whether this is a real superstition or a contrivance for the film does not matter. It is effective as a reason to posit Johans insomnia and psychic deterioration, which is the template for this run of pessimistic films Bergman made in this period.

The symposium pointed out that the most verbose postings on forums are not during these hours, with the research stating that these are the hours that the verbose bull shitters cant even bull shit themselves and that same time is spent coming to grips with their own truth and spend that time haunted by their own demons. Their need to grasp for attention usually comes out between 10am and midnight depending on the forum poster's local time.

The film they cite may be an interesting one to watch.
